Speakers at the September 20, 2021 meeting: Post 2 Commissioner Glenn Patterson praised the hard work and dedication of county employees, and a plaque of Republican Principles was presented to him by Chairman Frank Wood. GA Secretary of State Candidate T. J. Hudson described his past experience as a deputy, judge, and local election board president. He said if elected, he would work toward an audit of the 2020 election in Georgia.
In continuing business, a motion was made and passed to allocate $500 for the Multi-County Candidate Day on November 6, 2021. For new business, Kevin Harris announced that Frank Wood is one of 20 people in the entire state of Georgia selected for the Republican Leadership Group program in 2021. Kevin made a motion which was passed to allocate $1,000 toward Frank’s travel expenses to attend the multiple out of town program sessions. Debby Beck made a motion to introduce a resolution in support of an audit of the Georgia 2020 election. The motion was passed, and the resolution will be sent to key elected officials as well as posted on the Fannin County Republican Party’s website.
