Tonight’s town hall meeting with Johnny Chastain will have to be postponed due to a very busy legislative session. Fannin GOP hopes you will still come out tonight to the Agricultural Center at 6pm, to hear what the GOP is working on including the county convention on Saturday March 22. Here is Johnny’s statement about needing to reschedule:
“When I first offered to serve as the seventh district house representative, I promised to keep you informed and to apply my best effort to the job. As I have shared with you over the past few weeks, this session is very intense. There are a number of matters working their way through both the State House and Senate. All of these matters affect each of us either directly or indirectly. The calendar for today contains more than 40 issues that will require a vote.
Each requires the careful consideration of all Representatives. What time we will finish today I do not know. However, I do know that I cannot leave Atlanta until today’s business, the peoples business, your business is addressed. Therefore, tonight‘s Townhall meeting will have to be postponed. Crossover day is at the end of this week. When we have a clear calendar, the Townhall meeting will be rescheduled. In the meantime please reach out to me via email cell or here on social media if you have any questions. Thank you again for your commitment to our community. It is an honor to represent you.”
